January’s goals are a real mixed bag. I’ve been looking forward to reading Madeleine Thien’s Do Not Say We Have Nothing since the fall and have been promising my daughter that I would read The Cursed Child for almost as long. Ken Dryden’s autobiography, The Game, has sat on my shelf for almost six years, having been part of a parcel of books loaned to me by my neighbour on the 1972 Summit Series.
At the same time, I’m doing a little bit of research for a summer project with this vintage copy of The Heroes of Asgard that I found in a Little Free Library. As well, I’m putting some finishing editorial touches on last year’s main work, and started writing something new, the first draft of which I hope to have done by Easter.
